The festival and Students

Each year, the Lumière festival works with educational institutions. In 2011, over 3000 intermediate and high school students participated in the event.

1 / High school students at the festival

The Institut Lumière, with the support of the Rhone-Alpes Region, allows high school students to take part in the festival by giving them seats in sponsored theatres. The students can thus discover the films, presented by personalities in the cinema world.

The cinema village of the festival, located in the Park Lumière, is also a special place where students can meet or attend signings with film celebrities and professionals.

A discussion, accompanied by film clips, will be encouraged, so that the students may get a sense of the organisation of a festival and know more about the filmmaker whose film they are about to see.
